Colorful Bracelet, African Glass Beads on Hemp
Boho red yellow orange Upcycled African Glass beads with a loop and Bone button closure
Who isn't drawn to these colorful chunky glass beads?
I've always liked them (beads in general, my very first business was making beaded jewelry decades ago!). I have made some stretchy bracelets with these beads but always felt uneasy about the elastic holding all these chunky beads... And a thin jewelry wire just does not fit the large holes.
FINALLY, I came up with the idea of using hemp cords to string the beads, which goes perfectly with all my other crocheted and knotted hemp creations.
These glass beads are strung up on 4 strands of natural hemp cord. The ends are finished with a big knot, a Bone button, and a crocheted/reinforced loop on the other.
The size has to be just a bit bigger than your wrist size - that way you could button it.
The pictured bracelet fits an average wrist; 6½"-6¾"
I'll be happy to make this design smaller or bigger, please send me a note to discuss!
