Atlantic Ocean Shells Necklace with Hemp
"Ancient" Hand Made Beige Shells Necklace with long ties, Crocheted
I recently went to Montauk, NY for a mini vacation - and of course to take pictures of my new designs - See my new posts/listings photographed at the Atlantic Ocean.
I brought home a bunch of these simple beige shells, thinking that they would make a cool, ethnic/tribal-looking necklace.
And oh boy, do they have a pre-historic look!
I washed them after I got home, hopefully getting all the sand out, and then I drilled a hole in every one of them.
I used 13 shells and crocheted them on a long hemp cord to make this necklace. The cord ends are finished with a seed bead.
The center part with the shells is 12" long, and the ties measure 18" for adjustability.
