I buy the moon shells in big bags. Each bag has only a few bigger shells; these here were the biggest ones!
First, I crocheted the hemp base of this design, then I added the drilled EXTRA large Moon shells (measuring about 1½" in size) with Puka Shell beads.
The piece measures 40" from tie end to tie end, the tie ends are finished with 1-1 Puka shells.
This decorative design has 29 shells in total.

What happens if my jewelry gets wet?
When cotton cord gets wet, it will shrink. To adjust it back to its original size/length, gently pull on it. Applied body lotion will also make the material softer.
Always consider that a new piece takes time to imagine, design, test, and re-do before it's perfect!
