I crocheted the "stick" part of the earrings with a natural hemp cord (it is a long piece folded and hand-stitched together for a better structure - double layer!), hand-sew the Amazonite beads on top, and used brass jump rings to attach the lever back top and the drilled sea shells.

These earrings measure just under 3½" from top to bottom.
****The crocheted-beaded part is a bit over an inch (1 1/16"). Let me know if you'd like this design a bit shorter!!!!
